Charles Rose

COVID-19 - Are we open?
Yes. All our showrooms are currently open, abiding by government regulations and COVID-19 requirements.
Our hours are:
Monday to Thursday: 10am to 5pm
Friday: 10am to 6:30pm
Saturday: 10am to 4:30pm

Where do the diamonds come from?
Charles Rose only deals in sustainably sourced, conflict free diamonds from around the world. All abide by the Kimberly Process - an independent certification scheme enacted in 2003 to prevent conflict diamonds from entering the rough diamond trade.

Diamonds themselves are typically mined in Canada, Russia and Africa, and pass through European and Israeli hubs, as well as international diamond cutters.

Purchasing diamonds and gemstones both locally and internationally allows Charles Rose to select precise items of the highest quality, passing on excellent value to our customers

Diamond Certification
Almost all principle diamonds in Charles Rose engagement rings are individually and independently certified for your peace of mind.

Internationally recognised labs such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and, more locally, AUSCERT laboratories, among others, all provide impartial certification.

How long does it take for a custom make?
Typically we allow 4-6 weeks for the creation of a custom item. This does vary depending on the item itself, and its complexity. However, in any case, your Charles Rose consultant is available to answer any questions, provide updates at any time, and will be in touch upon completion.

How long to have a wedding band made?
We generally allow 4-6 weeks to create your individual wedding bands. This does vary depending on the style and design, however your Charles Rose consultant will be in touch upon completion of work, and is available any time to answer any questions.

Why aren’t there specific prices on the website?
The nature of the jewellery that Charles Rose creates means that no two pieces are ever the same. There are always variations in sizes, diamond and gemstone weights and characteristics, complexity and processes. As such, each unique item has a unique price, which unfortunately means that specific prices cannot be provided online.

Can you make designs in different materials?
Yes, it is possible for any of our rings and items of jewellery to be created in different materials - whether that be a different colour or carat of gold, or platinum.

We also have ranges of wedding bands created from Palladium, Zirconium, Carbon Fibre, and other exotic materials.
Your Charles Rose Consultant will be able to guide you through your options.

Price difference between gold and platinum?
At Charles Rose we are proud to offer you the same, high quality jewellery in either 18 carat white, yellow or rose gold, at the same price.

Platinum jewellery, however, does come at a higher price, and your Charles Rose consultant will be happy to calculate this for you for your unique piece.

What warranty does Charles Rose offer?
Charles Rose is proud to offer a lifetime guarantee on craftsmanship on all items.

Where normal wear and tear has occurred, however, or an incident outside of our control, we will endeavour to repair Charles Rose items at a competitive rate to ensure you are not left without your precious items for long.

We recommend that your jewellery be checked by a Charles Rose Master Jeweller every 6 months, free of charge.

Do you offer financing?
Charles Rose is proud to offer ZIP Money to our customers, interest free for 6 months.

Resizing
When purchasing a Charles Rose engagement ring, there is one complimentary resize provided to ensure the perfect fit.

Depending on the design of other rings, resizing may or may not be possible (full-set eternity rings, for example, are typically very difficult to resize).

Rings from other jewellers will be assessed by our Master Jewellers before we are able to commit to any work being done.

In Store Duty Free
Charles Rose offers in-store-duty free for items that are being purchased by tourists and taken overseas within the next 90 days.

This saves the hassle of receiving the GST refund at the airport upon your departure.

Required information includes the presentation of a passport, and travel documents showing departure date and vessel.

Non-Charles Rose Jewellery
Charles Rose is able to repair and service items of jewellery purchased from other jewellers, however the items will first be inspected by our Master Jewellers in order to determine the best pathway forward.

This analysis may deem the item not fit for work and, in these cases, it should be returned to the original jeweller.

Insurance
While Charles Rose does not provide insurance on items purchased, we do provide Valuation documentation for insurance purposes on items purchased over $1,000 and, in the event of a claim, has insurance experts able to help guide you through the process from end to end, ensuring the like-for-like repair or replacement of your treasured items.

If you would like your Charles Rose item re-valued after a period of time, as we recommend having done every 2-3 years, this is done free of charge.
